So we are back from STL and we had a great time. Mom and John's reception was great and we sent them off on their way back to AZ on Sunday. It was very fun to get to see them both and spend a bit more time with John and get to know him more. We also got to meet one of his daughters and her husband, Debbie and Brett. They drove from Arkansas to come to the reception. We had a great time getting to know them.
Eva, my niece, was really wanting to try her mom's make-up one morning, so her dad did a little makeover on her. Very nice
Monday was our anniversary! We've been married for two years now and I love Todd more and more as we experience life together. He is a caring and responsible husband; a sweet, loving father; and more than I ever thought I would be blessed to have as a husband. We were driving home from STL most of Monday so it wasn't the most romantic day, but we had plenty of time to talk about the last two years and to relive our wonderful wedding day, storm and all. The picture looks like we had a beautiful, candle-light service, but really it's just the exit signs shining since the power went out after I got down the aisle! What a memorable day!
Our church had a church picnic on Wednesday evening so we ate with friends and then there was a softball game for whoever wanted to play. Todd played for a bit and was quite the stud at bat. You can sort of see him through all the fence layers getting ready to bat.
Jackson loved watching all the action of the softball game and the kids playing in the grass.

And last, Jackson has started walking! He can take a bunch of steps, but then topples and decides it's still faster just to crawl. But he's getting more and more brave every day. I'll try to post video of it soon!
