Out of the mouth of my babe...

Just had to document this because it made me laugh really hard...This morning, I was asking Jackson some of the children's catechism. The first two questions go like this:
Q: Who made you?
A: God
Q: What else did God make?
A. All things.

This is how Jackson's version went:
Q: Who made you?
A: God
Q: What else did God make?
A: God made some pancakes!

Okoboji 09

Sorry for the picture-laden post, but I figured it was time to finally update the blog a bit and I was the only one who remembered the camera on vacation so family wanted to see some pictures. We just got back from our annual Vogel Family vacation to Lake Okoboji and, as always, it was a great time. Just thought I'd share a few of the highlights... Cousin Lilly enjoying her yummy nutty bar- an Okoboji tradition!

Randy's birthday always falls right around the Lakes vacation so we try to celebrate while we are all together- this just happened to be a great picture of the Randy Vogel clan.

Jackson in training...the next Michael Phelps. Really, he just liked the hat. But he really did a great job of swimming with his "shark" on. Those floaties really work and let him have a bit of independence.

We enjoyed taking the boat out pretty much every day and Ella, Max, Randy, and Todd did a bit of tubing. We always enjoy a little dip in the lake too when it gets a bit too hot.

Max had a bit too much fun and just couldn't stand it anymore.

Sorry for the lack of posting lately, but with moving and vacation and all around chaos there really hasn't been a ton of time. But I will try to get some new house pictures up soon and keep updating as we get closer to the Deuce's arrival.
